Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain name extension is the single TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. At first, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to acquire john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level domain names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the present registration provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no specific restrictions on who can secure a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
